for your consideration and time going through this portfolio presentation -- and I look forward to continued work with you.

THANKS,
A workflow built for instructors, animators and IDs to help source images with regards to both copyright, and the faculty’s time. I led this project with two instructional designers working alongside me, and tested the workflow between the different IDMPS teams
The idea was that if we separate the process and the reasoning into different documents, the process document could be used to avoid copyright nuances by simply only referencing copyright compliant ways to source media. This eiliminates the need for faculty to dig deeply into copyright and sourcing issues -- allowing them to focus more on bettering learning and selecting the most supportive media.
Additionally, we provided resources within an extension doc that goes into the pedagogical choices that go into sourcing media, and the implications of online courses with regards to fair use and the teach act.
Both documents availible through through an @uic.edu email.

COPYRIGHT WORKFLOW
5:
A tool I built to show small images in big ways.
It takes the pixel data from images --
and then reverse-engineers the halftone
printing process onto the screen using
color math and shading computations.
This allowed for use of historical images in our media without constraints of resolution hurting video quality.
We have been able to get away with 300 pixel wide sections of images being blown up to fullscreen without having distracting quality drops.
The video embedded below shows this tool used to zoom further into the artworks being analyzed, making sure that students of all screen sizes can see every piece of detail mentioned.

This is what this looks like within Blender.
Using procedural generation to automate the complex transformations keeps tools like this quick and easy to use.
Only the four highlighted boxes need to be updated.

An IP and large content package contracted to a four artist team managed by me and another co-director, Jesse Cardenas-Trejo, under the name CHROMA-CREATE.
Character design, marketing materials, writing assistance, and launch trailer.
What made this project possible within our small team was our ability to rely on each other's best skillsets.
Work was split between initial 3d blocking, illustrated character blocking, background illustration, coloring, and polish layers to get the entire team working within one animated frame without stepping on each other's toes.

IDMPS VIDEO HIGHLIGHT
1:
Iterated production of a video template system to help summarize whatis possible within course videos to faculty -- with regards to content swapping to appeal towards specific audiences / faculty.
Additionally, all animation samples in this version were completed by me.
This is a catered presentation of my work in design, graphics, and production in management and producer roles.
